Why Egypt is the most booked destination from Armenia
Egypt is the shortest route from Yerevan to a warm sea in winter: 3.5 hours non-stop, no visa paperwork before departure, and All Inclusive hotels where the price you pay in Yerevan is the price you pay — meals, drinks and the beach are covered. That is why it accounts for more bookings at MiniMondo than any other country.
Charter flights operate all year, so almost any week has a departure. Peak demand is the New Year holidays, Armenian spring break and October–November; May–June and late August usually have the lowest prices.
Sharm El Sheikh or Hurghada?
- Sharm El Sheikh: coral reefs right off the hotel beach (best snorkelling), calmer wind, 2–3°C warmer in winter, premium 5★ resorts (Rixos, Four Seasons). Excursions: Ras Mohammed, Tiran Island, Mount Sinai, St. Catherine.
- Hurghada: long sandy beaches with gentle entry (better with small children), bigger hotel choice and slightly lower 4★ prices, windsurfing and kitesurfing. Excursions: Luxor (Valley of the Kings, Karnak), Cairo by bus, Giftun Island.
- El Alamein: the new Mediterranean option north of Cairo, quieter, mostly 5★ — ask for the current charter dates.
